Parking Information

All Faculty, Staff, and Commuter Students are highly encouraged to obtain a FREE UPIKE Parking Permit. It is REQUIRED that ALL Residential Students student obtain a FREE UPIKE Parking Permit. To obtain a parking permit, go to https://apps.upike.edu/permits/#/. Log in with your UPIKE login and fill in the required information and add a picture of your license plate. Your permit will be processed within 24 hours and then can be picked up in the Public Safety office.

Towing and/or Immobilization.

  • Vehicles not authorized to park on University of Pikeville property (NO permit) will be subject to immediate towing at the owner’s expense 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Vehicles receiving an excessive number of citations (3 or more) may be subject to immobilization until the immobilization removal fee is paid.
  • Vehicles receiving an excessive number of citations (5 or more) may be subject to loss of on-campus parking privileges and are subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense at any time, despite the number of previous parking citations, if the vehicle is blocking entrances, other vehicles, parked in fire lanes, or other reserved parking locations and the registered owner cannot be reached in a reasonable amount of time. (Once the towing service has been called, towing fees will apply to the registered owner.) 

Resident students (students who reside in campus housing) may park in the residential lots on campus. Commuter students may not park in the residential lots but may park in the Health Professions Education Building parking lot, the parking garage, gymnasium parking lot or on the streets surrounding campus. NO students may park in the Visitor’s lot located near the Administration building Monday through Friday 7 a.m. -5 p.m.

Tickets may be paid at the business office located on the ground floor of the Administration Building. It may take up to a week for a ticket to show up on an account. Tickets may also be paid for by bringing the paper ticket into the business office before it shows up on an account. Wheel locks can only be removed when all tickets are paid for in full.

To appeal a ticket, go to https://apps.upike.edu/permits/#/ , scroll to the bottom and complete the appeal form. Appeals must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the ticket. The committee votes on the appeal and sends the final decision to the Chief of Public Safety who in turn emails the results to the recipient of the ticket. The committee’s decision is final and cannot be appealed again.
