If you’re an incoming or current student, apply for housing by submitting the housing application at live.upike.edu using your UPIKE username and password.
All new students are required to provide information regarding their housing plans for the academic year. The application will gather information on where you wish to live on campus as well as allow commuter students the option to select a meal plan. The following timeline has been established for housing assignment notifications:
April 1, 2019: The Housing and Meal Plan Application available for the 2019-2020 academic year.
July 8, 2019: Priority deadline for all students who wish to live on campus. If you have a roommate request you should make every effort to complete the Housing and Meal Plan Application by this date. Roommate requests will only be granted if both residents mutually request one another on their application.
July 15, 2019: Housing assignment and roommate notifications will be distributed to those who have filled out the application by the priority deadline. All notifications will be sent to UPIKE email addresses. Rolling notifications will continue every Monday until classes begin.

Once a housing selection has been submitted no adjustments will be made until after the first three weeks of the Fall semester.
All housing assignments are reserved in real-time and therefore will be processed on a first-come-first-serve basis.
If you’re transferring to UPIKE for the spring semester or being re-admitted, you are required to provide information about your housing plans. Please keep in mind the university is closed between December 24 – January 2, therefore notifications will not be sent during this time.
The University of Pikeville has limited apartment units available for graduate and family housing located approximately three miles from campus. Units are studio or one-bedroom with a bathroom and kitchenette. All utilities, cable, and internet are included in the cost of rent and free laundry is available on-site. Residency Requirement and Cancellation Policy:
Full-time undergraduate students are required to live in campus housing from the point they agree to the terms and conditions of the Housing Contract. Additionally, according to the Student Handbook, all student-athletes are required to reside in university housing. If you wish to live off-campus, you must request this by the following dates each semester:
Fall 2019 – Off Campus Residency Application is due by May 31, 2019
Spring 2020 – Off Campus Residency Application is due by December 2, 2019
Applications received after the above dates will not be accepted. You must submit your application by completing the form prior to signing a lease for off-campus housing and submitting it to the Office of Residence Life (anticipate 3-5 business days for processing). Personal Property Insurance:
The university is not responsible for loss of your personal items. Coverage can be obtained through most insurance companies. This coverage will be applicable both on campus and worldwide and will cover your personal belongings in the event that they are stolen, accidentally damaged, or suffer a loss due to fire, water or smoke. Common situations that can occur include:
All students are required to participate in Bear Pause each semester to ensure all matters with admissions, financial aid and registration are in order prior to starting classes. You may be denied access to housing if clearance items are not completed by your Bear Pause date.
