Abstract: Many students are psychologically, socially, and academically unprepared for the demands of college life. As such, it is essential that faculty, student support personnel, staff and administrators understand the unique qualities and needs of today’s college students in order to motivate, engage, and inspire success both in and out of the classroom. Presentation explores characteristics of millennial/Gen Z students and offers a holistic approach to fostering student motivation and engagement. You will learn relationship-building and mindset strategies to more effectively support long-term student success.
