Marketing & Communications Requests

WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED A PROJECT

Choose the appropriate form below for your project.

  • MarComm Request: For simple projects, such as new designs or uploading digital signage.
  • Printing Request: For print-ready materials that require no design or edits, such as finalized flyers, posters or brochures.
  • Visual Media: For photography at events, headshots, digital archive information or video projects.

If the scope of your project requires multiple types of requests or if you are unsure which one to use, fill out the MarComm request form first.

Each person in MarComm is exceptionally qualified to take care of your needs. Some projects may overlap among multiple team members. Once your project is submitted, the member who is most appropriate for the job will reach out within 48 hours.

You will receive an automated email when your project is “in progress.”

From here, you’ll communicate directly with the MarComm team member responsible for your project. They’ll keep you updated on progress, share drafts and work with you to finalize details.

Please Note: To ensure adequate time for development and quality execution, all projects should be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance or at the earliest convenience.

This allows the MarComm team to properly plan, allocate resources and meet deadlines. Early submission is especially important for larger projects requiring extensive creative work or coordination.

Please choose the appropriate form below for your project as we have recently updated our request process to better serve the university community.

Website Updates

Web Services has moved to Information Technology Services, but you can still access the form here.

Need updates or changes to your web page? Submit this form to ensure your web updates are handled efficiently and effectively.

Note: Submission through these forms does not guarantee the project will be accepted without more information. Communication will be given to the submitter about projects.

Note: The Two and Done Rule: You have two rounds of edits and revisions to make sure everything’s correct. After these, we’ll work to finalize your project for completion.

Once a project is submitted, you are responsible for:

  • Project Timeline: Work with the MarComm team to ensure the project stays on track and deadlines are met.
  • Budget Line: If the need arises to use a vendor for a project, MarComm will need a budget line for any purchases. A quote will be sent to be approved before anything is purchased on behalf of another department.
  • Content and Copy: Provide all basic content and copy to ensure alignment with your department’s goals and messaging.
  • Proofreading: Proofread all materials to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with the intended message before final approval.
  • Communication: Promptly respond to requests for feedback, edits or approvals to avoid delays.
  • Approval: Approval is required before production begins to confirm all project details are correct and finalized.

Project Delays

  • Client-caused delays: Project will be moved to bottom of priority list with a new timeline.
  • MarComm-caused delays: MarComm will set a new deadline and prioritize project.
