UPIKE welcomes new Vice President of Academic Affairs

The University of Pikeville (UPIKE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marisa Greer, Ed.D., as the new Vice President of Academic Affairs, effective July 1. With an extensive academic background and a proven track record of leadership, Greer brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this critical role. 

As the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Greer will oversee undergraduate programs, playing a pivotal role in the academic direction and excellence at UPIKE. Her responsibilities will include overseeing curriculum development, faculty recruitment and development, accreditation processes, retention, and fostering a culture of innovation and academic excellence across all departments.

Greer joined the university from Union Commonwealth University in Barbourville, Kentucky, where she recently served as Executive Vice President and Provost. 

With 24 years of experience in higher education, she has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, student success, diversity, equity and inclusion.
