UPIKE now accepting nominations for Distinguished Educators Hall of Fame

The University of Pikeville (UPIKE) is now accepting nominations for the Distinguished Educators Hall of Fame Class of 2021. UPIKE Educators Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made a lifelong commitment to education and have dedicated themselves to educating the youth of Central Appalachia.

After having to suspend last year’s ceremony due to COVID-19 restrictions, UPIKE is excited to continue its decade-long tradition of recognizing the achievement and commitment of this most essential occupation in October. UPIKE is calling on educators, former students and community members to nominate individuals whose contributions to learning have inspired students and made a significant impact in the field of education.

In the past year, educators in Central Appalachia had to reimagine their classrooms and focus on educating students from a distance. UPIKE recognizes that front-line educators make a direct and life-changing impact on the lives of their students. UPIKE is proud to celebrate educators who have dedicated their careers to the students and communities of this region.
