Coleman College of Business Leadership Series to feature Kansas Justice


The University of Pikeville Coleman College of Business will host a Speaker and Leadership Series event on Monday, November 22, at 1 p.m. on the 7th floor of the Health Professions Education Building. UPIKE alumna and current Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Pikeville Medical Center (PMC), Kansas Justice, MBA, will serve as the guest speaker presenting “Characteristics of a Successful Leader in Healthcare.”

Serving in her role at PMC, Justice oversees operations of a 348 bed medical center with more than 3,000 employees and 400 credentialed providers. She manages more than 1.5 million square feet of properties and has facilitated nearly $105 million in capital expansion projects. 

Justice is passionate about the health and wellbeing of the people of the Appalachian region. Before joining PMC in 2016, she spent 20 years working in healthcare at several hospitals across the region. She obtained certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from the National Association for Healthcare Quality.  

This year, Justice was named one of the top women in business in Kentucky by the Lane Report. She was also recently honored by the University of Pikeville as a recipient of the Rising Young Alumni Award.
