Coleman College of Business Leadership Series April 19

The University of Pikeville’s Coleman College of Business will host a Speaker and Leadership Series event on Wednesday, April 19, at 11 a.m. in Booth Auditorium. UPIKE alumnus and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent Matthew DeBlauw will serve as the featured guest speaker with his presentation, “The Value of a College Degree: How Pikeville College Shaped my Career and Life.”

DeBlauw graduated from Pikeville College in 2008, where he played baseball. He pursued his passion for numbers and earned his Certified Public Accountant license, which helped him excel in his current profession.

Upon completing his education, DeBlauw spent a short time in public accounting before beginning his career with the FBI as a Special Agent, where he has worked for more than 11 years. DeBlauw has specialized in public corruption matters during his tenure, serving as a valuable member of the FBI team that investigates and prosecutes corrupt public officials. As a collateral duty, he spends time overseas providing corruption training to the FBI’s international law enforcement partners.

The campus and the community are cordially invited to attend the April 19 event. For more information, contact Brenda Maynard, associate professor of business, at (606) 218-5005 or brendamaynard@upike.edu.
