University of Pikeville Appoints Gregory Green, Ph.D., as Interim Dean of the Coleman College of Business

The University of Pikeville (UPIKE) has appointed Associate Professor of Economics Gregory Green, Ph.D., as Interim Dean of the Coleman College of Business (CCOB).

Green has served UPIKE as an Associate Professor of Economics, bringing a strong background in academic instruction, economic analysis and student-centered learning. In his new role, he will provide leadership and strategic direction for CCOB while supporting faculty, staff and students and advancing the college’s academic mission.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Greg Green as Interim Dean of the Coleman College of Business. Dr. Green has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to advancing academic quality, student success, and career readiness across our business programs,” said UPIKE President Burton J. Webb, Ph.D. “I am also thankful for the leadership and mentorship of Dr. Marisa Greer, whose guidance has been instrumental in supporting Dr. Green’s continued growth and success.”

As Interim Dean, Green will oversee academic programs, faculty development, enrollment initiatives and external partnerships within the college. He will also focus on maintaining continuity and momentum across the college’s undergraduate and graduate business programs.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to serve the faculty, staff, and students in the CCOB as the interim dean,” said Green. “I intend to explore any avenue that will make students competitive members of the labor market, leaders in business, or leaders in their community as they transition from student to alumni of the University of Pikeville.”

CCOB prepares students for leadership roles through innovative, career-focused programs that emphasize experiential learning, ethical decision-making and community engagement.
