Participating in organized extracurricular activities is a valuable part of your total educational program. Activities serve as an enhancement to your educational and professional growth by providing you with experiences and opportunities in leadership, self-government, special interest development and peer collaboration.
It is recognized that the majority of these activities are sponsored and carried out by student organizations and that the organizations have a responsibility to their members and to the university in the conduct of their activities. It is expected that the activities of the organization will not conflict with the missions of KYCO or UPIKE.
To be elected or appointed, and to maintain an organizational leadership position in any KYCO student organization, a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 is required. No student on academic probation can hold a leadership office of any type. Students with less than a 2.75 GPA are encouraged to limit their extra-curricular involvement and to focus on their academic success.
