Turn Your Nursing Career Up A Degree

RN-BSN Curriculum consists of 30 hours of upper division nursing requirements. These courses are offered online.

NUR 302 Advanced Concepts in Nursing Practice (5)
NUR 304 Health Assessment for RNs (3)
NUR 306 Pharmacology in Nursing Practice (3)

NUR 308 Scholarship & Inquiry for Evidence Based Practice (3) (pre-req: Statistics)
REL 370  Health Care Ethics (3)
NUR 401  Population Based Nursing Care (5) (practicum course)

NUR 403 
Organizational and Systems Leadership (3)
NUR 405 Nursing Synthesis and Capstone (5) (practicum course)

Total of 120 credit hours are needed for BSN degree at the University of Pikeville. Fulfillment of the 120 hours can be earned by successful completion of 30 semester hours in the RN-BSN curriculum (see the above list of courses), 52 semester hours of general education core requirements, and up to 40 hours of NUR semester hours from an associate degree nursing program. Elective credit may be needed to fulfill the remainder of the 120 hours required by the University of Pikeville.
