UPIKE’s Coleman College of Business presents ‘Alltech-From Humble Beginnings to a Global Leader’

Eastern Kentucky native Danny W. Branham will be the featured speaker for the University of Pikeville’s Coleman College of Business Speakers and Leadership Series. The event, “Alltech-From Humble Beginnings to a Global Leader,” is set for Friday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. on the seventh floor of UPIKE’s Health Professions Education Building.
 
Branham received his bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s degree in animal science from the University of Kentucky as well as a master’s in Brewing and Distilling Sciences from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He currently serves as the General Manager at Alltech’s Dueling Barrels Brewery and Distillery in Pikeville.
 
As an advocate for economic development and regional growth, he is actively involved in the community on several committees. Branham serves as a board member for the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Pikeville City Tourism and Big Sandy Heritage Museum.
 
Returning to his hometown after 20 years, Branham resides in Pikeville with his fiancé, Amanda L. Hall, and his stepson, Colt Powers. He and his family enjoy hunting, fishing, sport archery and the beautiful mountains of eastern Kentucky.
