The Division of Social Sciences provides instruction, engages in scholarly activity in our respective fields (Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Geography, History, History/Political Science, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology) and serves the university and its programs. The Division of Social Sciences introduces students to the above special branches of knowledge, gives them the necessary skills to use that knowledge and assists them in contributing scholarly work to this body of knowledge. Our curricula not only exposes students to what is current in a particular social science area, but also to what is likely to be important in that area in the future.
