Nancy CadeNancy Cade is anything, but ordinary. She is extraordinarily intelligent, caring, and delightful. Although she has a passion for government and politics, Dr. Cade also takes pleasure in so many other aspects of life, such as her students, animals, and what she likes to listen to while driving. Dr. Cade is most certainly enjoying life to the fullest and the legacy she will leave behind will be exquisite, to say the very least.

Dear Bears Fan,

Welcome to UPIKENEWS, the official newsletter of the University of Pikeville Alumni Association.

As the fall semester approaches, things are heating up as the faculty and staff are busy preparing for the new and returning students. Included in this month's edition is information about the Alumni Association's trip to London next spring; some wonderful stories about former First Lady Judi Patton and other alumni, faculty, and students from campus; and info about our new AlumNites happening all over the country.

As valued alumni, we want to hear about you and include your stories in upcoming issues of the newsletter. Please send us your stories and pictures and help us celebrate our UPIKE alumni. If you have been away from campus for too long, check out the "Save the Date" section of the newsletter for upcoming events.

On behalf of the Alumni Association and the University of Pikeville community, Go Bears!
