The University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (KYCOM) has earned high marks in rural medicine ranking 12th among all medical schools in the nation, both D.O. and M.D., in the U.S. News & World Report's 2013 edition of Best Graduate Schools.

Welcome to UPIKENEWS, the official newsletter of the University of Pikeville Alumni Association.


Spring has arrived early this year and the campus is in bloom; what a glorious time of year! So much is happening on campus - students and faculty returned refreshed from spring break and are making the final push towards the end of the semester, the women's bowling team is competing for the NAIA championship this weekend, and construction workers are busy completing the new medical building.

The top-ranked University of Pikeville women's bowling team will compete in the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships, and a member of the men's team will bowl for the singles championship.
