Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
The University of Pikeville will award one $2500 scholarship to a KCTCS transfer student per year. To be eligible for this award, the applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and 30 transferable credit hours. The Office of Admissions must have the student’s application, official transcripts, and ACT scores on file, and the student must file a FASFA by February 1 of the application year.  In addition, an essay describing the student’s experience as a member of Phi Theta Kappa must be submitted along with proof of Phi Theta Kappa membership.  Part- time students and students with a previously-earned bachelor’s degree are not eligible. The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship may be renewed for a second year provided a 3.0 GPA is maintained. This scholarship cannot be combined with another supplemental scholarship.

DutchCrafters Heritage Scholarship:
For the 2015-16 academic year, the DutchCrafters Amish Furniture Heritage Scholarship will award three scholarships of $500 each. Disbursements of the award will be made in two increments of $250 each – one for the first semester and one for the second semester of the academic year. The award payment will be forward by DutchCrafters directly to the college or university for distribution. Awards are for undergraduate study only.

The application deadline is May 1, 2015 for the 2015-16 academic year.
The application consists of three parts:

Part 1) Application
Part 2) Statement of Financial Need
Part 3) 750 Word Essay

Essays are expected to be written in a formal paragraph form. Spelling and grammar will be considered in selecting the top essays. Style and creativity will also be taken into account.
