On select Wednesday nights, the Center for Student Success will provide home-cooked meals to UPIKE students in an informal, encouraging environment to help students feel at ease about discussing problems (such as homesickness, test anxiety and roommate issues) allowing the student success team members to listen and assist with problem-solving. This event is also a means to foster interaction and a sense of community with peers.

Below you will find a list of dates for What’s Up Wednesday events. All scheduled events will start at 8:30 p.m. in the student lounge, unless otherwise stated.

Most Valuable Bear Contest

To be named “Most Valuable Bear” (MVB), students must attend seven of the 10 scheduled Fall 2017 What’s Up Wednesday events. At the end of the semester, all students deemed MVB will be entered to win their choice between a smart watch, tablet or Amazon Echo.

The Center for Student Success will be handing out What’s Up Wednesday punch cards to all students through Friday, August 25, 2017. After this date, students will not be able to obtain a punch card.

Students must present their punch card at each What’s Up Wednesday event to receive a punch. No card will be punched outside of a What’s Up Wednesday event or transferred to another student.

Prize drawing will be held at the end of the fall semester.

The Center for Student Success would like to thank David Hutchens, vice president for advancement and alumni relations, and the Office of Advancement for their prize donation.
