Food City CEO Steve Smith, center, presents Pikeville College President Paul Patton with a check for $75,000. The gift supports the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine’s (PCSOM) new educational facility and expanded clinical skills center.
“The Coal Building” is expected to be complete by spring 2012. With this new instructional facility, PCSOM’s enrollment can increase from the current 300 to 500 medical students by fall 2015.
“We are grateful to have the continued support of Food City for this project,” said Patton. “In addition to this special gift, Food City continues to provide a great deal of support for our students through scholarships and
event sponsorships at Pikeville College.”
