In January 2017 the University of Pikeville opened “Khirbet el-Maqatir & A Journey Through Biblical History." This walk-through exhibit features over 250 artifacts from the world of the Bible. Of particular interest are artifacts from the site of Khirbet el-Maqatir – the likely location of Ai mentioned in the book of Joshua and the possible site of Ephraim of the book of John.

The exhibit, which has been extended through October, is open through August on Fridays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch).
