Gary Thrash Outstanding Ambassador Award 2016
The University of Pikeville Alumni Association recognized Tommy Chamberlin, class of 1996, with the Gary Thrash Outstanding Ambassador Award. Named for the alumnus and longtime board member, the award is presented to recipients whose service to the college and alumni association exemplifies Thrash’s dedication to the university mission. Chamberlin serves as president of UPIKE’s Alumni Association. He earned a juris doctorate degree from the University of Louisville School of Law in 2000 and currently serves as chief assistant Pike County Attorney. Chamberlin enjoys history and archeology and is exhibit director of Khirbet el-Maqatir – A Journey through Biblical History, a biblical archaeological exhibit that will be on display in Pikeville, beginning in January. He and his wife, Erin, live in Pikeville with their daughter, Annah.
