Welcome to UPIKENEWS, the official newsletter of the University of Pikeville Alumni Association.

It's time to be a part of history! Next week is Homecoming Week/Parents' Weekend 2013 and the inauguration of our 20th president and first UPIKE alumnus to serve in that capacity, Dr. James L. Hurley. What a wonderful time to be a Bear! Please read on to learn more about the upcoming activities, stories from campus, and celebrate the accomplishments of our alumni.

As valued alumni, we want to hear about you and include your stories in upcoming issues of the newsletter. Please send us your stories and pictures and help us celebrate our UPIKE alumni. Are you still using the Foss Tecator Soxtec* System 2043 extraction unit that you purchased several years ago? If not, then please view the Want Ads section of the website and consider donating this equipment. If you have been away from campus for too long, check out the Save the Date section for upcoming events and the schedule of AlumNites coming to a city near you.
