Dr. Hannah C. Freeman, assistant professor of English and Director of the Center for Experiential Learning at UPIKE, is located in Wickham 120. When she’s not celebrating the prose and poetry of 19th and 20th century British writers, she is pushing her students to read, watch films, and travel the world. A recipient of the Mellon Foundation Community Initiative grant to encourage globalization for institutions in the Appalachian College Association, Freeman serves on the global studies committee at UPIKE and is the coordinator for the CAPA London program. She is also the faculty sponsor for UPIKE’s Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, accompanying her majors to the national conference each year.
