The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) - ASN

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is the required entrance examination for the University of Pikeville’s Elizabeth Akers Elliott associate degree in nursing program. The TEAS fee is $35 (non-refundable). Pre-payment and pre-registration are required.

Important Information on TEAS Exam

  • The TEAS is taken only once per admission year, if you receive the cutoff score of at least 50%.
  • If you get less than the cutoff score of 50%, only one retake is allowed. You may repeat the TEAS on any date listed, as long as the repeat TEAS is taken on or before March 1.
  • You will be notified of your enrollment status when your enrollment form is received.
  • The $35 fee is non-refundable. Walk-ons are not permitted to take the exam.
  • You must show a valid form of picture identification to take the exam (i.e., driver’s license). No exceptions!
  • An informational session on nursing program requirements, a review of the application process, and a question/answer period will take place on each TEAS date promptly at 9:00 a.m.
